decorator achievement

Is the decorator's achievement even possible anymore? You have to buy 2000 pieces of furniture and I have bought out the furniture store and only have 1726. Wondering if there are any plans to fix this.

There are furniture stores that will show up in Boutique, or from engagement/wedding parties as well as engagement/wedding shops when you'll plan your own. You can also own 2 of the same furniture item now and still get FP and also add to your number towards 2000. So yes it is still achievable.
