around the world #5

oldest living rose in the WORLD

Germany

Image

The beautiful German city of Hildesheim is the home of the oldest living rose on the planet known as the rose of Hildesheim or the thousand-year rose.

She’s 69 feet tall and 30 feet wide and it’s believed that she was established by King Louis the Pious back in 815.
The rose climbs up the walls of a Catholic cathedral dedicated to the Assumption of Mary. The cathedral was hit by Allied bombers during World War 2, and although the building was completely destroyed, the roots of the rosebush somehow survived and she blossomed among the ruins again.

The rose is a Rosa canina, also known as the dog rose

The cathedral and the adjacent St. Michael's and Mary Church have been on the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites since 1985

scary tale #1

most evil man in history

Tomas De Torquemada

first grand Spanish inquisitor
Image
Born in Spain in 1420, Tomas De Torquemada served as a priest before being appointed as Inquisitor General by King Ferdinand and Queen Isabel in 1483, during the Spanish Inquisition. He became notorious for his cruelty.

“He was all-powerful. Having political power and being the head of the Inquisition, he held an
enormous amount of power.”

Torquemada burned over 2,000 "guilty" victims. (those who were not chrristians) Naturally, with such a record he was loathed. He found it necessary to go about with bodyguards. Even the Pope could not stop his cruel work. he used a cruel methods to make victims confess.Chiefly, through his insistence, some 200,000 Jews were expelled in, 1492.
Image
“Torquemada wasn’t evil. He was worse than evil. He was the Satan par excellence.”

tale of beauty and fashion #4

rice water for gorgeous hair

Image

I love using various of home remedies for hair or skin. so my new finding is RICE WATER for hair and face skin also :D

According to researchers, women in the Heian period (794 to 1185 CE) in Japan had floor-length hair they kept healthy by bathing it in rice water.

Benefits
Advocates of using rice water for hair believe it:

detangles the hair
makes hair smoother
increases shine
makes hair stronger
helps hair grow long

there are 3 type of rice water which you can use, its soaking rice water, boiling, and fermenting. last one is the best one which contains more vitamins and I begin to use it  here is link of detail recipe how to make and use it https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/321353.php the page is secure :)

Image
:afro: :afro:

p.s so I make 5th time rice water and my hair became very soft, like baby hair, as usual I have so dry hair :crying:
waiting for more, I want to became it more shining ,lets see

Yes a little, but i use shampoo after rice water so the smell is dissepearing :-)

As it said in recipe you should save fermented water in refrigerator after 24 hours, to stop fermenting and reduce smell. :)
