Just discovered my new favorite artist -- Hayley Kiyoko! Thought I'd share a few songs with y'all.

- "What I Need"

- "Gravel To Tempo"

- "Girls like Girls"

- "Curious"

- "Feelings" <-- this one's a bit more explicit than the other songs, but if y'all are ok with that, I'd still recommend it

I definately think Kiyoko deserves more recognition -- she's not afraid to show the world her true self, she's confident, and she's bringing fair representation of the LGBTQ+ community to the music industry! Enjoy. :D

So... I'm in a bit of a predicament now. Turns out, I might not be attracted to the opposite sex after all.

When I was younger, I had a crush on a boy, as well as a celebrity crush on a male actor. Now that I know that I'm attracted to the same sex, it's getting more complicated. I've called myself a bisexual (without thinking about it) for quite some time now, but I originally came out to my parents as lesbian. Yeah, I might need to backtrack on that. Anyways, questioning is a mentally tiring process, but I'll figure it out eventually.

Have a great day, y'all.

So... I don’t usually post things like this, but I need to vent for a bit.

Today, I was on Pinterest, just minding my own business, when I came across a pin that had a picture of three flowers and a drawing of those flowers as girls with hats. The “girl” on the far right had a purple hijab, unlike the other two. In the comment section, there was a comment that read, “Seriously [sic] they just had to make one a Muslim”. I bet you know where this is going...

I challenged this person on their stance and they ended replying with something that’s not only offensive, but perhaps dangerous to the Muslim and LGBTQ+ community, as they noticed my username had the pride flag attached to it and came to the same conclusion: that they hated those people.

I have photographic evidence of this incident, but for fear of younger people reading this, I won’t share it.

What I hope we can take away from this is that bigotry exists in many forms and is often more subtle than we think it is, so it’s important to call it out whenever we see it. We can expose a larger problem behind bigoted comments than is often shown on a surface level, as happens here.
