Actually asking people to delete the post is useless because it doesn't give you more comments to be able to ad.
You get a few extra an hour once you hit your daily limit. :)

And also since we aren't allowed to say that we voted for someone, you can't really hold it against them if they didn't vote as long as they didn't say that they did ;)

To be nice maybe. Sometimes leaving someone a nice message on their profile even if they didn't vote could brighten someone's day. ;)

..for me all this obsession with votes,is really horrible..and everyone has stopped voting what they like but what person they like..and the give-take hypocritical conditions, they are so pathetic and sad..its like a business transaction..i am really sad about what we have become as persons..
once i voted a lady i really like her creations only for Catwalk and went to fetch money to vote for the rest and when i came back,my comment was deleted and i suddenly had negative votes..
she told me she does not keep comments of people who leave comments without voting..
and it is not her fault,it is how she learned to react here in this game, nobody trusts noone...i suppose it is like the outside world.. :(

Actually, you can't tell whether or not someone has voted. Two reasons: 1.) The same moment you voted positive others voted the exact same amount negative for one reason or another. So you actually don't see your meters changing. In addition, the same way she can't tell that she was voted negative at that time she can't tell if you have voted or not since these data are not publicly available. 2.) The one who votes tries to spend her money quickly on voting. If you vote and take your time right afterwards to place a comment this might in total take too long before you're done spending when you get challenged. So, for example, I prepare all who I want to click their stars by opening all their profiles in my browser's tabs. Once done I wait for the money to become available. Then I quickly CTRL-TAB through all profiles leaving my votes. You can get this done for 200 profiles in 5 minutes. After your spending spree for votes you have got all the time in the world to place your well crafted comments with all the players you voted for. In this case it can even take hours after the vote before she sees your comment. Of course you can't relate that comment to the moment when your meters went up anymore. A little bit if trust would work well in this case. Furthermore, since you are not allowed to share in your comment that you have voted and how much you would have to use a wording that doesn't hint on having clicked any star. Not sure why that other girl is so upset, you didn't even say that you voted or will be doing so. Why does she complain? She would also be unfair to new players who don't know how things work and who just wanna be friendly leaving a message. Those get then 'punished' (voted negative?) by the one they left the comment with for actually nothing. They don't even know remotely that they've done something 'wrong'.

And then I really wonder how she could tell you didn't vote? Doesn't she have better things to do than monitoring her meters, not taking her eyes off of the screen 24 hours per day? LOL That would be way too boring...

Okay, this one got a bit lengthy... sorry.

..i did not say the lady complained, she did not..
me,i do not care being given negative votes at all,but i do when it comes as someones expression of dislike over another..it should only have to do with the dolls clothes and nothing else..
you like it,you support, you don't like it,you do not support or vote negative..
personally,i never use negative votes..
the way i see it,there is no reason for giving negative votes to someone and there should be no negative votes in the first place,i really believe that this is one of the major weaknesses of the creators of the game,no one deserves negative votes, you either support or do not a player...
what do negative votes offer to a player apart from sorrow and sadness?nothing..
do they help them to i don't know,'improve' in some way?more interested in Fashion?
no..they just kill their love for the game..
positive votes on the contrary do that..they are positive feedback for someone..
it is really beneficial for us that you tried to explain how the whole vote system works to us,Thuriah..i want to hope that many disputes are going to be solved from now on regarding votes..
again,i want to emphasize that in my case the lady did not complain at all,but nevertheless the misunderstanding did take place..and it has to do with our whole notion about those d... votes and the so called 'fake messages' as i have heard them to be called in the game..
