Red or vermilion is said to be the sacred color at weddings so Brides wear mostly red or vermilion colored Lehenga or the long dress you say!
The whole dress consists of three peices!
1.A lehenga is a form of a long skirt which is pleated. It is usually embroidered or has a thick border at the bottom.

2.A choli is a blouse shell garment, which is cut to fit to the body and has short sleeves and a low neck.

3.A piece of cloth worn on head known as Odhani.

:) The way you look is your own style, don't change it on others comments.
