Language School

Language School

Postby Kravko » Tue Nov 23, 2010 6:20 pm

Hey Ladies,

Since there are ladies from all around the world playing Lady Popular, I think it would be nice idea to exchange some words or sentences, and learn ladies how to say it in your own language.

For example, i'd like to learn how to spell "How are you" in Bulgarian, Russian and Ukrainian ?

It's "Kako si" in Croatian :)

Have fun, and I hope we can learn something :)

This is a great idea! I would find it very helpful if people could say which language they are speaking - my first difficulty is in just recognising the different alphabets and knowing what language I'm looking at!

Cool topic! :D

As for "how are you" - Wie geht's? - in german. :)

German - Du bist lieblich/hübsch/schön. - you are lovely (all the 3 words are synonyms).
So wunderschön / toll. - so gorgeous, the 2 are synonyms again.
Wunderschönes Mädchen - gorgeous girl
Zum Sterben schön - drop dead gorgeous. :D

Bulgarian - Прекрасна - lovely.
- Разкошна - splendid.

As for english, you could always use something different than just "beautiful" or "pretty" - my personal favs are "drop dead gorgeous", "stunning", "magnificent", "splendid".

My bf could help with french as he graduated french linguistics. :)
